P rakshakuDau neevu kaligiyunDaga mAku
rAma rAma bhayamElanE
pakshivAhana jagadrakshaka nee kaTAkshamE
kOriti mOkshadAyaka rAma ||
Oh Rama, when you are our protector , why do we fear. Your vehicle is Garuda bird. You are protector of world. You bestow salvation. Please shower your merciful glances on me.

Perturbed by six kinds of man's enemies (lust anger etc.) why should we seek shelter from others when holy 'Rama Mantram' is there for us. It protects us like cage.

helasi vEsAranEla mAkElanu
alasulaina vAri nanyAyamuga jEri
kalavaramanda mAkElanu ||
Why should we get vexed by entangling in cycle of births and deaths. Why should we get confused by seeking others help.

jEri munuga mAkElanu
kOri bhadraSaila kooTa vAsuni jEri
nArasimhadAsuDani yunna nAkika ||
Why should we drown ourselves in worldly ocean. Narasimhadasu reached Bhadrachala Rama the best protector.
