Subbaraya Sastry (1803-1862)
Subbaraya Sastry, the son and desciple of great composer Syama Sastry, had the
unique opportunity of receiving training Carnatic music from all the three
stalwarts Tyagaraja, Muthu swami Deekshitar and Syama Sastry, popularly known
as 'The Trinity Of Carnatic Music.
Subbaraya Sastry composed only a few Krutis but with great quality. His Krutis
'Janani ninnu vina' in Reeti Gowla and "Oh Jagadamba' in Ananda Bhairavi are
very popular.
