This is a very popular Kruti of Oottukad Venkata Subba Iyer, describing the glory and splendour of Lord Krishna with poetic excellence suited for "Abhinaya" and foot-work in dance. This is known as "Tarangam" with Jati swaram and beautiful rhythm.

He holds flute in his hands beautifully. His mouth is smeared with butter. His smile is beautiful like lotus flower. His eyes are sparkling like a blooming lotus. He is Jagannadha, the protector of the universe. He is in my heart always.

Oh Bala Gopala, You are full of virtues. You are benevolent and great. Please protect me.
Oh son of Nanda, Oh Mukunda, music on your flute is enchanting. Your feet are tender like lotus petals. None can comprehend your origin or end. Your glory is infinite. Your attributes are auspicious. You are my protector.
Oh Krishna, you are like a hovering bee enjoying the sweet honey of love from the lotus-like face of graceful Radha. You are very enchanting in divine "Rasaleela".
