Garutmanta brought nectar-pot from heaven. He is like chariot-flag for Sri Mahavishnu. He is destroyer of enemies of Devatas. The sun and the moon admire him. He is very mighty. He is the support for all the living beings and he is the embodiment of Vedas. He has very auspicious appearence and is endowed with many powers. I meditate upon him.

Bhudevi, Brahma, Indra, Sanaka and other sages approach Sriman Narayana to request him to descend on the earth to save the people from the attrocities of demon Kamsa and other wicked people. In this song Sanaka and others sing about the infinite powers inlaid in the names of Rama, Krishna and Govinda.

Rituals like bath, Sandhya, japa, fire worship and sacred ablutions are not required to chant these names. They bestow perpetual bliss which neither diminishes nor vanishes. Meditating the three names purifies mind . Singing their glory is vocal penance. Depicting their glory through dance is penance by body. Yaga, yoga, attachment, enjoyment, yajna and other practices are not required for those who immerse in the glory of trinity. Salvation is assured through devotion, knowledge and realisation. Supreme Conciousness (Para Brahman) can be attained by these names. They eradicate worldly fears like birth, life and death. Immersing in the glory of trinity dispels the worst sins just as the effulgent Sun dispels pitch darkness. Narayana Teerdha considers that the purifying power of the three names is the king of piligrimages.

Oh Lord, you are the divine child of Devaki and Vasudeva , shining with Koustubha gem. You are wielding conch, discus, mace, and lotus. Your sword is Nandaka. Your bow is Sarjna. Your silk yellow costume, ear-hangings and crown are majestic. You are embodiment of auspiciousness. You are lord of Yadavas. Please bless us with devotional mind, speech and wisdom.
