Anandam nandayantam hrudayagatamavidyASrayam nAdagamyam

Sri Krishna is the embodiment of Supreme bliss. He eradicates ignorance. He engosses in Omkara nadam. He is the protector of 16 fundamentals which are like spokes of a wheel( 5 sensory organs,5 limbs and 6 senses). He is at the center of symbolic wheel as support. So also Sri Krishna is encircled by Gopikas dancing around him.

Oh friend, I meditate upon Lord Krishna who is the Supreme witness of the world.
AP madhuripumiha rAsabhuvi viharantam
mAdhavamindryAdishu vasantam ||
Madhusudana is amidst us in 'Rasamandala'. He is present in all sensory organs. I meditate upon him.

viSvatanum vishayAdishu santam ||
sakala vishayamanubhavati ya dEkam
yatra tadA nijamEti sadAkam ||
pavanagatamakhila kAraNamAdim
prANatayA pariveetamanAdim ||
He is at the center of Solar system. The universe is his body. He is in every object.
He is devoid of body-consciousness. Everything is his manifestation.
He is in the air we breathe. He is the primordial cause for creation. He is eternal and omnipresent.
C4,5,6 yamavadhi laya manuyAti tu tAram
tamparamavyaya mAgama sAram||
aramiva radha charaNaSya pinaddham
yatra kalAniyamEna susiddham||
nigamavichAra janita matigamyam
janmalayAdi vihita matiramyam||
He is the primordial sound 'Omkara'. He is the quintessence of Vedas. Everything ultimately merges in him.
The creation is sustained by his presence at the center just as a wheel with 16 spokes has supporting center.
He is beyond birth and death. He can only be comprehended by scriptures. Sri Krishna is fascinating.

vArita gOpavadhoojana mOham||
hariguru parijana hrudaya vinOdam
nArAyaNa teerdha phaNitamihEdam ||
He is beautiful like water-bearing cloud. He eradicated Gopikas' ignorance.
He bestowed happiness to Guru Hari Teerdha. Narayana Teerdha wrote this song to make his Guru and other devotees happy.

Sri nilayam sakhi - varALi - Adi

SlOkam :
sarva pratyamchamEkam prakrutimakhilabhAvam svayam bhAsayantam
nityAnanda svabhAvam sakala hrudayagamvyOmava nnirvikAram
achAryasya prasAdAdviduriha munayO vEdabhAgE mukundam
nrutyantee gAyateeti vrajapura vanitA bhakta sankalpa siddham||

Sri Krishna's nature is comprehended by studying Vedanta and by the grace of Sadguru only. Sri Krishna is the primordial. He is the root cause for creation. He illuminates the world. He is embodiment of Supreme bliss. He is omnipresent. He is not subject to mutation. He is the Supreme savior. One of the Gopikas explained like this to other Gopikas.

P Sri nilayam sakhi Sri nilayam|| Oh my friend, Sri Krishna dwells in Sri Lakshmi's heart.
AP dheemahi gOpee mAnasa nilayam || He lives in the lotus-like hearts Gopikas.. Let us meditate upon him.
C1,2.3 gagana pavana mukha bhoota nidhAnam
priyatama mAgamamrugita mi hainam ||
yadabhi srujati jagadavati punAti
grasati chidAtmayA suvibhAti||
divyatanumajara mamaramasangam
antarbAhyatatam jagadangam ||
Sri Krishna is the preceptor of Vedas. He is the basis for the five elements of nature. He is dear to us.
He is the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge. He is the creator and sustainer. He is purifier. He is the cause of dissolution.
He is free from decay, death or attachment. The universe is only a part of his divine resplendence. He is inside and outside of everything.

dinakara SaSidhara lOchana dESam||
viSvahrudaya mavaneepada mAdim
prANatayA pariveetamanAdi ||
viSvanagara vara rAja marAjam
vividha kalAkruta jeevana samAjam ||
He is the propounder of Vedas. The Sun and the moon are his eyes.
He is the heart of the Universe. He has neither begining nor end. He is the mother and the life breathe of Universe.
He is the Supreme emperor of the universe. He is not subordinate to anyone.
C7,8,9 muhurapara brumhitabhAvam
nija kalayA parihruta bhavabhAvam ||
vraja yuvateejana kruta parihAsam
vana bhuvi munivara hrudaya nivAsam ||
budhajana mAnasamanDana bhootam
idamiha nArAyaNa teerdha geetam ||
He is ever expanding. He is the Supreme Brahman. He is transcendental. All worldly afflictions vanish by his grace.
He dwells in the hearts of sages. He moves with us in Brundavana delightfully.
He is precious ornament for wise and pious. Narayana Teerdha sings his glory with devotion.

hEy rAma hEy krishNa - bowLi - Adi

Akrura went to Gokulam to meet Krishna. He got up early in the morning and sang with devotion to wake up Balarama and Krishna.

mAyAmAnusha dEhi mAdhava nAmAbhi vAdyatam sabalaha
tEnAlingita murtissura ripu vruttam tadukta madha vEda||
akroorO rAmakrishNAbhyAm nyavasadgOkulE sukham
adhOddhitO rAtriSEshE samuddhApayah swayam ||

Sri Krishna descended on the earth as human being due to his divine mission. He and Balarama bowed to Akrura and embraced him. They came to know from him about the wicked plans of Kamsa.

AP hEy rAma hEy krishNa hEy jagatraya gurO
hEy punDareekAksha raksha nija paksham ||
You are Gurus of the world. Oh lotus-eyed Madhava, please protect your devotees.

patiyOga parama soubhAgya mahitA
prAcheena vairasya mabhinayam tyadha sA
prateecheem diSam rAma kAma muditA ||
naLina mukulOdara vidaLana gaLitALayO

kalanayA vicharanti kAma mukhrAh ||
East is happy to meet the rising Sun like spouse. She is laughing at west exhibiting her rivalry.
As the Sun rose, darkness vanished. Bees are moving on lotus flowers. They are humming happily enjoying nectar in blossoming flowers.
C3,4 dadhimadhana sanjAta madhuratara sangeeta
budhajanAgama ghOsharamyaghOsham
madhu madhana samkalaya mAdhava vidheendranuta
padakamala padmAkrutAbhilAsham ||
bhoopAla dESAkshi dEvagAndhAri Subha
bilahari vasanta mukharAga brundam
gOpikA gAyanti gOvinda tava tu Subha
guNaratna brundamAnanda kandam||
Gopikas are singing sweetly while churning curd. The neighborhood is resounding with the chanting of Vedas by pundits. Oh Madhava, you destroyed demon Madhu. Brahma and Indra adore you. Sri Lakshmi is eager to meet you.
Oh Sri Krishna, Gopikas are singing melodiously in various ragas like Bhupala, Desakshi, Devagandhari, Bilahari, Vasanta etc. They are extoling your virtues in their songs.
C 5 kalita navamallikA kusumAni vihasanti
kamamiha tArakA brunda mamitam
lalita vachasAkroora kalita miti guru bhakta
nArAyaNAnanda teerdha rachitam ||
White Jasmine flowers appear to be laughing at the fading stars in the morning. Akrura sings the song gently with beautiful vocabulary. Narayana Teerdha wrote this song with reverence to his Guru.

avalOkayata - SankarAbharaNam - aTa

hatvA mushTika chANoorou dhanurbhangam vidhAya cha
sAgrajO mAtulasabhAm pravishTO geeyatEmaraihi ||

Sri Krishna and Balarama destroyed two wrestlers named Chanura and Mushtikasura. Then they entered their uncle Kamsa's court. Celestials are singing their praise.

P avalOkayata Sri gOvindam bhO bhO bhoomAnavalOkayata || Oh Devatas, look at lord Govinda on the earth.
AP navajaladhara SyAmam nandita balarAmam || He is shining like cloud. He delights Balarama.

navamuktAmaNi hAram nAnAvidha vihAram
dhruvapada vidhAtAram doorita samsAra bhAram ||
He destroyed demons who are burden on the earth. He redeems all from worldly afflictions. He is beautiful with pearl necklaces.
C 2 malla chANooramadhanam mattamAtanga nidhanam
phulla pankajadaLa sannibha nayanam
vallavAnganAmadanam vAsudEvAbhidhAnam
kallOlamAliSayanam kamsEbha kEsariNam ||
He annihilated demons Chanura and Mushtikasura. He vanquished an elephant in rut. His eyes are beautiful like lotus petals. He is beautiful like Manmadha for Gopikas. He reclines on wavy ocean. He is like a lion for elephant-like Kamsa.
C 3 EkAnta daivatam yAdavAbdhi samuditam
SrikAkuLa nagaree Sribhoomi sahitam
nAkavallabha geetam nArAyaNateerdha rachitam
vikaTa mOharahitam vijaya gOpAla masitam ||
He is the Supreme lord born in Yadava clan. He is graceful with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi at Srikakulam. Indra the lord of Devatas adores him. Narayana Teerdha wrote this song to eradicate delusion. Victory to Gopala Krishna.
