P	kaDupenta tAguDuchu kudupenta deenikai paDani pATulanella baDi poralanElA? ||	How much food does this stomach want? Why do you suffer and struggle for it always?
C 1	parula manasunaku galugaga chEyu paritApakaramaina bradukElA? soridi nitarula mElu choochi saipaga lEka tirugu chunDeDi kashTa dEha midi ElA?||	Why do you hurt and harm others in pursuit of your wants? Is the life for it only? If you are jealous of others prosperity, is not the life worthless?
C 2	ediri keppuDu jEyu hitamella tanadanuchu chadivi cheppani yaTTi chaduvElA? podigonna yAsalO bunguDai satatambu sadamatambai paDayu chavulu danakElA? ||	Education should preach that help rendered to others is ultimately for one's own good. What for is that education devoid of values? Why do you sink in endless desires? Why don't you leave such tastes?
C 3	Sri vEnkaTESwaruni sEVAratikigAka jeevana bhruti baDu sirulElA? dEvOttamuni nAtma deliya nollaka prekku trOvalEgina dEhi doratanambElA? ||	Why do you lead a life of deception in the pursuit of wealth? Why don't you engross in the service of Venkatesa? What is this life with exalted status if one lives aimlessly? Keep Venkatesa in your conscience always.

In this Padam Annamaiah deplores at the futility of repeated births performing Karmas without surrendering to Venkatesa who alone bestows salvation.

P	indulO modali karta evvaDu lEDu kAbOlu mundu kari varaduDE mukhyuDu kAbOlu ||	Perhaps Sri Mahavishnu who bestowed salvation to the king of elephants is the primordial lord of the universe. There is none else.
C 1	ADitibO bahu roopAlanni yOnula buTTi tODanE brahmAdulanE doraleduTa jaDalu mechcha lEru chAlunanna vAru lEru vEDuka naDavi gAsE vennelAye braduku ||	I played many roles taking birth as different living beings. Brahma and other Devatas watched my performance but they neither appreciated nor stopped my rebirths. (i.e.Brama and other Gods can not bestow salvation)
C 2	anni karmamulu jEsi ATalO brAhmaNuDa naiti nanni vEdamu lanETi yangaDi veedhi nannu joochE vAru lEru navvETi vAru lEru vannela samudramu lO vAnalAya braduku ||	I performed various Karmas dictated by Vedas like a jester in drama. None of the gods observed my action nor rejoiced. My life became useless like rain on ocean.
C 3	samsArapu nATaka SAlalO pratima naiti kamsAri Sri vEnkaTapati mAya lOna imsalanniyu deere ninDAru juTTamulairi hamsa chEti pAlu neeru naTlAya braduku ||	I have become a doll in a puppet show due to Maya of Kamsa's enemy Sri Venkatesa. At last after surrendering to him all my afflictions vanished. Karmas became my relatives. Now I am bestowed with power to recognise truth and false like a swan which separates milk and water.

In this Padam Annamaiah wonders at the ignorance of mankind about future or previous births.He deplores at their foolishness in leading sinful life of greed and lust.

P	venakEdO mundarEdO verri nEnu nA manasu marulu dEra mandEdokO ||	I've no knowledge of my previous births or future. I am really foolish. Alas! I don't know the medicine to free myself from endless desires.
C 1	chEri meedaTi janmamu sirulaku nOmE gAni yEroopai puTTudunO yeraga nEnu kOri nidrincha barachu kona nudyOgintu gAni sAre lEtunO lEvanOjADa deliya nEnu ||	I perform many rituals for wealth and power in my future. After all I am ignorant of future births. I prepare a comfortable bed to sleep but I don't know whether I would get up from sleep.
C 2	tella vAri nappu Della telisitinanE gAni kalla EdO nijamEdO kAna nEnu valla choochi kAminula valapinchEgAni mollamai nA mEnu mudisina deragA ||	I wake up at dawn and feel that I am concious of the world around but I am not truly aware of what is real and what is unreal in the world. I am attracted by the beauty of young women but not concious of my aging body.
C 3	pApAlu sEsi marachi braduku chunnADagAni vaipuga chitra guptuDu vrAyuTeraga Epuna Sree vEnkaTESu nekkaDO vetakEgAni nApAli daivamani nannu gAchuTeraga ||	I commit sins and forget. I am not bothered of writings of Chitragupta the assistant of Yama the god for death. I search for Venkatesa here and there but I am not aware that he is always protecting me

In this Padam Annamaiah expounds the qualities like equanimity and steadfastness.

P	appuDu choochEdi vO adhikula nadhamula tappaka yechchari idE talachavO manasA ||	O my mind,think it over. You'll be able to judge a person's integrity or weakness at appropriate time only.
C 1	konDala vanTi panulu kOri munchu kontE noora kunDi kaikonani vADE yOgeendruDu ninDina kOpamulaku nepamulu kaligitE danDitO kalagani yataDE dheeruDu ||	One who remains balanced when confronted with jigantic tasks is supreme yogi. A person who is unperturbed inspite of provocation is real hero.
C 2	soodula vanTi mATalu soridi chevi sOkitE vAdulu peTTukonani vADE dEvuDu pAdukonna samsAra bandhamu noorinchitE Adigoni mattuDu gAnaTTi vADE puNyuDu ||	A person who does not enter into argument inspite of piercing words is indeed God. A person who is not infatuated by family bonds is the most pious one.
C 3	gAlAla vanTi yAsalu kaDu tagili teesitE tAlimitO kadala nataDE ghanuDu mElimi Sree vEnkaTESu meeda bhAramu vEsuka veelaka tanalO virra veegu vADE dhanyuDu ||	Worldly desires are strong pulling hooks. A person who has absolute control over himself is truly great. One who has absolute faith that Lord Venkateswara bears all his burden is never diffident. He alone is blissful.
