Have you observed or heard of the might of Sri Maha Vishnu whose navel is lotus like. Seeking for his protection is the only resort.

The creator Brahma was borne from his navel. He rescued Indra and other Devatas. He floated on a leaf during the great deluge. Only Hari,is the God for all of us.

eetani kantE vElpu lika mari kalarA ||
Only he dispelled all the miseries caused by the demons. He strided the three lokas in three steps. When the king of elephants addressed him as the primordial, he rescued him. Are there any deities greater than him?

He is the Lord of Lakshmi and heaven. Vedas proclaimed him as the all-pervading. He is the conscience of all the creatures movable and stationary. He is Sri Venkatesa. He is our wealth in this and transcendental worlds.

In this song Annamaiah eulogizes the love between the divine couple Alamelumanga and Srinivasa. He describes her exquisite beauty and the role of Manmadha and the pleasant ambience.

Your tresses are black like a row of bees. Your hands are as tender as lotus. You are the queen of the Lord of the universe. Your husband has come to meet you in all praise for you. Parrots are twittering delightfully one by one.

Your face is beautiful like the shining moon. You are the embodiment of beauty. Your teeth are like a row of pomogranate seeds. Sri Venkatesa meets you in love. Pleasant thoughts haunt your memory.

kala lOni sukhamE

In this philosophic song Annamaiah deplores at the evils of 'Kaliyuga'. He exposes the deterioration of values and at the fascination for leading a dishonest life.

Happiness in 'Kaliyuga'is nothing but the happiness enjoyed in a dream. Oh Venkatesa,where is the happiness in this age of 'kali'?

You spend every moment in fear. Each step you take is only into mire. You don't get rid off letharge and think of spirituality.

You teach evil only. You make us forget affection. You can't avoid hatred. Why do you shut off the right path? Why do you break traditions?

In this song Annamaiah narrates how mother Yasoda defends her dear Krishna.He says that she finds fault with the shepherd women for keeping milk and butter within the reach of playful kids.

Don't you keep an eye on your growing kids? I am also a mother like you of a lovely child.

Won't the playful children crave for milk and curd placed in open space. Not able to bear loss you blame my child.

ekkuvaina tira venkaTESudaina biDDani ||
When kids see the tasty cheese, will they leave it? Why don't you worship and praise the child who is eternal Venkatesa himself.

In this song Annamaiah expresses that a wise worshipper of Venkatesa sees heaven in front of him, an enlightened Yogi immerses in the secrets of Vedanta, a realised devotee's words are'Mantrams'and pious one that conquers the cycle of births delves in supreme bliss. He adds that Sri Venkatesa is everything to all of them.

Glorious heaven is right before the eyes of the one who wisely worships Sri Venkatesa.

A pious one that conquered the cycle of births delves in supreme bliss. Wherever the enlightened one steps in, there is heavenly treasure.

Whatever a revered devotee listens to, is spirituality only. Sri Venkatesa is every thing to all of them.

koluvuDee bhakti koladi - kEdAra gowLa

In this song Annamaiah advises us to worship Lord of the seven hills in all devotion. He says that Lord Venkateswara is primeval, engrosses in Sama Vedam, hates none, loves the pious and is beyond our comprehension.

Worship the Lord of the hills in all devotion. He is the repository of wealth dwelling near the Pushkarini tank.

Worship the primeval Lord, the birthless one, the Lord that revels in the musical sound of Sama Vedam, the skillfull one, the one who conquered hatred and the one who is the way of life for the pious natured.

Worship the divine and Supreme Lord whose nature is beyond anybody's comprehension, the Lord of Venkata mountain, the transcendental God and the Lord of the Earth.
